 The "X" Books


Books written by authors whose last names start with an X are hard to find. Lucky for me, I have a fellow author friend who writes under the name Scarlett Zavier.

Fiona is there to research the hidden runes on the property. She drags Lachlan along for the ride. The two get down and dirty searching the grounds for the hidden artifacts. Perhaps if they can find them, Lachlan can save his land from the clutches of the developers who want to destroy it. 

Welsh Tides of Change
Rhys Morgan has a deep love for the coast of Wales. It is his sanctuary. A place where the raw beauty of nature fuels his fight for the environment. Emily, is there with a group of environmentalists to help clean the beach. One look is all it takes for passion to spark between the two. Their combined love of the planet adds fuel to their desire. But the past has other ideas.

All three are a spicy, sexy, sensual, read. My one issue is they are too short. I wanted more! I wanted the stories to go deeper! I wanted to get to know the characters, to see the love unfold. It was like a tease. 

If you are looking for a fun (quick) sexy romance, I strongly suggest them. They are spicy. So if you prefer your romances on the Hallmark movie side, don't read these. The Celtic Men series is not a Hallmark story.

 Catching Up Yes, it has been a while since I posted anything about my book challenge. I will keep this short and sweet. Or as short and sweet as possible.  The R Books: Wildwood Whispers by Willa Reece  Goodreads describes this book as a "dark, tender, and thought-provoking, adding that it is a beautifully woven tale of fantasy, feminism, and mystery." I was so bored I couldn't finish it. I made it halfway through and put it down.  * blah Book two: Home Is Where The Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose This was a good mystery. It involved family dynamics and a secret, buried. When Beth, Nicole, and Michael gather together to sort through the family home after their mother's passing, they come across an old home video with a confession on it. What do they do? It concerns a missing person from their childhood. They have the answer or think they do. If you love a good mystery read this one. Very well written. The characters were great. ***** The S Books... The Alphabet Book Challenge: F

 The "F" Books Okay, I will admit, I did check out two books written by authors whose last names started with the letter F. One of them was a dud. It sucked big time. The second one was not bad, but I forgot to photograph it. Crimony! This is why I need to write the reviews right after I finish the books! Sorry :) Book one: Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding You may have seen the movie starring Renee Zellweger. It's a wonderfully fun, quirky movie. Well, the book is even better. (Of course). Bridget Jones is a relatable character. Every woman can relate to her. She is not thin, perfectly put together, and built like an hourglass cartoon figure. She is honest, relatable, and genuine. It is so nice and refreshing to read about a character who is like a real person.  I was hooked from the very first page, where she lists her New Year's Resolutions.  I WILL NOT Drink more than fourteen units of alcohol a week ...
